Next Event: Track Day in Mondello park - Sunday Oct 8th
The club are heading for another outing on track in Mondello on October 8th (afternoon). Driving on the 2.2 mile International Circuit again, it should be yet another great event. See the forum for more details.
Previous Events:
Karting (Mondello) - September 3rd
An impromptu karting event was held recently. It was very well attended (24 drivers) despite the incredible rain. However, the rain just made controlling the twin engines karts even more fun with drivers sliding around long corners. It is intended to hold another session in the near future.
BMW Car Club GB AGM - May 13th
The BMW Car Club GB (of which we are part of) held their Annual General Meetion in the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.
If you would like to come along then please do - you are more than welcome. Alternatively, if would like some of your thoughts mentioned, then please let us know before Saturday.
Both Eamon Reilly and Killian Bannon will be attending, followed by a quiet drink or two with our UK counterparts.
Track Day in Mondello - April
We held our first track event in Mondello recently on the National Circuit. About 30 drivers turned up to practice their driving skills and to test their BMWs abilities. The weather turned out to be perfect as usual and spirits were good.
There was a great turnout of cars ranging from the Kennys in their racing 2002 right through to two E46 M3 CSLs. Drivers were split into two groups as usual (fast/experienced and slower/less experienced) and this allowed drivers and cars to rest between sessions.
Unfortunatley the authors brake pad warning light lit up mid way through prematurely ending his session but I managed to get out in Kins E39 M5 amongst others. View some pictures of the cars on track...
